DISScard Your Ideas About Cards
The skinny on us ...
Located in Rochester, NY, DISScards™ was founded in 2000 by people
who don't know what they want to be when they grow up. While we put
off deciding, we're having a lot of fun testing the lines of social boundaries,
stepping over them, and threatening the status quo of the greeting
card industry.
The heart(land)of the argument.
If you have a pulse, you already know America is full to the hilt of sappy, schmaltzy, feel-good
greeting cards. When more daring humor is attempted, all too often the result is either detestably
cutesy, or unimaginatively crass and vulgar. It took DISScards to finally strike the right balance.
85% of all greeting cards in the US are produced by two companies, both located in the great
heartland of the Mid-West. These two mega-giants continue to portray life in a suspended reality
of fictitious bliss. They help us say thank you, wish happy birthday to friends, congratulate loved
ones, blah, blah, blah. All great things, no doubt. But what happens when…life falls apart, people
treat you like crap, relationships disintegrate, or people are simply so annoying that they make a
normally pleasant situation extremely unpleasant. Where are the cards now?
Liars and Morons and Jerks -Oh My!
Truth is, the world is full of Liars and Morons and Jerks, and we have to deal with this-day
in and day out. We're not in Kansas (City) anymore. We nod our heads in knowing agreement to the ringing words of bumper sticker logic: mean people do suck.
Well, it's about time ...
Good news is, DISScards are now available to help in dealing with these beastly
situations. Check out our website-www.disscards.net-or give us a call to get
your hands on the perfect antidote to meanness, a genuine DISScard. Nothing
illustrates your true feelings like a card. But when a greeting card just
won't do, reach for a DISScard™- the original Dismissal Card™.
